7.32 ERA this season. His HR/9 is 9.8 and his BB/9 is 3.5. He’s coming off three appearances in a row with at least one run allowed and he’s given up four home runs since the beginning of July, when his ERA was 5.53.
So the answer is no. No to a Phillies return. They’d have to be pretty desperate to go back to Strahm at age 34. The only argument one could make for a Strahm redux is that he played his best baseball here. Not in San Diego or Boston or KC. That 2024 season was a special one. But it seems like the Phils traded him at the right time.
