Jaxson Dart is Done for the Year

The insiders all confirmed it right around the same time:
Schefter added: “Jaxson Dart suffered damage to his MCL, PCL and meniscus, per sources. The meniscus is the main issue.”
The Giants’ QB2 is Jameis Winston, who went 11-27 for 111 yards and an interception in Los Angeles on Monday night after Dart left the game. It’s possible the Giants make a trade. J.J. McCarthy is out there. The Eagles have four QBs on the roster and would happily send one to New York for a late-round draft pick.
I wrote on Tuesday that this kind of sucks. Do we hate the Giants? Of course. But you want to play your rivals at full strength and take their best shot. Nobody wants injuries. The Giants have been terrible for years and finally stumbled upon a franchise quarterback, only for him to play 1.5 weeks of his sophomore season. It makes the path forward a lot easier for the Birds, but less interesting at the same time. The November matchup with New York will have much less fanfare and the Week 18 finale will almost certainly be meaningless now.
