UPDATE: Howard Eskin Says He’ll Ride His Bike From Philly to San Francisco

In blogging, there are sometimes stories that you really don’t care about, but if you want to be thorough, you have to mention. This is one of those stories.
On Friday, Howard Eskin was on KNBR in San Francisco and made the following proclamation to the hosts:
“I will tell you right now, there is no chance the 49ers win. This is a stone cold mortal lock… I’ll take a bike from Philadelphia to San Francisco [if the 49ers beat the Eagles]”
So there’s that.
Howard does have some free time on his hands now, perhaps he’ll make good on his word. Spike Eskin certainly wants his father to take the coast-to-coast ride.
UPDATE: Eskin tells Dan Gross he will make the trip.
