Nothing Can Prepare Us For the Fake News Sixers Onslaught Coming from Myriad Provocateurs and Agitators

This clip is terrible for three reasons:

  1. The blurb doesn’t match the video clip. In 2:47, there is not a single mention of Jaylen Brown going at it with the Philadelphia media.
  2. Jaylen Brown didn’t even go at it with the Philadelphia media. He was asked the “who’s going to be the alpha?” question (paraphrasing) at media day by Joe Vardon of The Athletic, who is a national reporter based out of Ohio.
  3. Dan Le Batard is an unabashed Miami Heat fan. I don’t believe for a single second that he’s looking at anything relating to the Sixers, Jaylen Brown, and LeBron James through an unbiased lens. He’s out here proclaiming, before a single basketball is even dribbled, that “this is about to be the most uncomfortable season of (Jaylen Brown’s) life.”

Based on what? High expectations? There are high expectations for the big Eastern Conference teams every year. The Celtics’ regular season was different last year, sure, but they went into the playoffs as the 2 seed with Jayson Tatum back in the fold. You’re telling me that didn’t come with expectations? Give me a break. If these guys can play in Boston with title expectations year-in and year-out, they can play in Philly.

Hope you’re mentally preparing yourself, because it’s gonna be like this all season long. Agitators and pissants up and down the east coast are champing at the bit to jump on the Sixers. They have all of their stupid attacks ready to go. Jaylen Brown is disgruntled! He needs more of the ball! LeBron James is regretting his decision! Joel Embiid frustrated with the offense! These termites can’t wait to come out of the woodwork.

If the Sixers do implode at some point this year, we’ll handle it. Philly fans will handle it with genuineness and authenticity. Not these national doofuses. Get a life.
