The latest update is that Jason is dealing with stage 4 cancer, which has spread to the lungs, liver, peritoneum and axillary lymph nodes. He’s been given 6 months to 2 years to live. But he continues to work through it and isn’t giving up, as detailed in a really nice article that Kurz dropped last week. We had talked, Jason and I, about getting together and jamming on some Pantera and Sepultura tunes and maybe I’ll just haul the entire drum kit to South Philly and we can do it in the Chickie’s parking lot. Who says no to that? I’m hearing that the neighborhood locals love the Vulgar Display of Power and Chaos A.D. albums.
As for the Adolescent and Young Adult Colon Cancer Fund, it:
“…supports the unique needs of adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer patients, ages 18-39, who often face treatment while building careers, pursuing education, or raising families. This fund helps provide coordinated, personalized care that addresses the medical, psychosocial, financial, and fertility-related challenges experienced by young adults with cancer, while advancing a model for expanded AYA-focused support across cancer types.”
Hope to see you there.
