V.J. Edgecombe Could Have Seriously Injured Jalen Brunson with Dangerous Foot-to-Foot Contact
NBA refs are hilarious. The Sixers challenged this on Friday night and it the foul call was upheld:
Prayers up for Jalen Brunson. He could have been seriously injured! Consider this a teaching moment for V.J. Edgecombe. He must stand perfectly still while defending. If he doesn’t, he risks making high-impact foot contact on the ball-handler and putting that player on the foul line. Remember, you are not allowed to touch the offensive player in this NBA. You must not make contact with any part of your body. And whether or not a foul actually occurred, the players will flop and bitch and whine and moan to the refs every single time.
(Brunson only hit 1 of the 2 free throws. LeBron made a putback on the following possession. The Sixers went on to win because the ball does not lie.)
