You Can Tell That LeBron is Having Fun as a Sixer Because He’s Already Twerking and Sipping Wine

The Sixers won again on Monday night, taking care of the Bulls at home 126-107 and improving to 7-1 on the season. And what’s even more crucial than their record or their excellent play, in my opinion, is that the vibes are truly, genuinely great. Frankly, they’re out of control. It’s nuts. The vibes with this team are nuts. Everyone’s having a blast. I’ve never seen anything like it.
The fans are having fun. The broadcast is having fun. And most importantly, the players themselves are having fun, best exemplified on Monday night by this sequence:
“I spilled some of his wine. I crashed into him, spilled some of his wine, so I wanted to see if it was worth it on my arm, how good it was. It was alright.”
Come on. That’s great stuff. This rules. LeBron is having a good time. He’s being a damn showman. He’s in performer mode. He’s going full Bruce Springsteen out here, wandering around and interacting with fans and giving them something worth leaving the house and fighting through traffic and finding parking for. I love this stuff. I can’t even explain why. I am a grown adult, but cards on the table, watching LeBron take a big sip of the fan’s wine and doing this little dance —
and seeing Maxey do his own little dance —
LeBron James and Tyrese Maxey hit the dance moves after getting and-1s on back-to-back plays 😂 https://t.co/nSn91E1581

and seeing VJ Edgecombe do this goggles celebration every time he hits a big three —
— has me giddily laughing and smiling and nodding like a dipshit and saying out loud to no one in particular, “This rules. This is the best. I love these guys.” What a weird thing. It’s awesome. Going to choose to believe it’ll never end.
