Absolutely mesmerizing. I went all 14 minutes first thing when I woke up this morning. Just couldn’t stop. People in the 1950s were so weird. But here’s the thing, which speaks to the allure of the Shore: If you were to update the visuals, replace the old-timey narrator, and ignore the lawlessness with which people jumped off diving boards, this video would apply to many parts of the Shore today. I mean, I’m not certain about Wildwood, but I think Ocean City still has a baby parade. And our buses remain air-conditioned, the lifeguards continue to be bulky, and our 16-year-old sense of humor persists:
