Despite some alarmist headlines about DeMarco Murray sitting out on Sunday, it turns out that the Eagles’ new running back had just been flagged as having a low hydration level by the team’s sports science monitors (the ones written about here):

I hate to say I told you so, so I won’t. But Jim did, in fact, tell you so, writing last night:

So what was it? We have no idea, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was, well, sports science.

Is it reasonable to believe they kept Murray out of full-team work on the first day of camp because of something they saw on those trackers? Absolutely. Is that what happened? No idea.

Seriously, just read CB. This was so obvious but not as juicy as the DEMARCO PERPLEXED HE SAT OUT takes. What’s the saying– can’t see the forest through the trees?
