Why, WHY NANCY KERRIGAN, WHY would they release this shirt – being sold on Fanatics, according to Darren Rovell, who blocked me because he’s a sensitive dope – after just a week of being number one and a day before playing mediocre Temple in a hostile environment on the road against a coach who is good friends and basically neighbors with Jay Wright?* Now I’m scared. The karma backwash could be unprecedented here.**
*Oh, what, all you Temple folks who cling to your program being such a part of the fabric of the city didn’t know that your coach gets out of dodge each night and escapes to his home in Villanova? Hate to burst that bubble.
**I’m just kidding. Villanova is going to destroy Temple. Wonder if Owls fans will finally fill their beautiful basketball arena, for a game against a “rival” number one team in the country? I’m sure if and when they do there will be misguided calls to build a football stadium across the street because they hung tough against Notre Dame once and got people to show up to North Broad for a February matchup against number one Villanova.***
