Tonight on Phillies pre-game live, Jim Salisbury mentioned a mysterious team paintball fight in Florida that involved Ricky Bottalico.  A claim that made Ricky Bo a little shrink a little bit.

When Amy Fadool asked him about it at the end of the show, Bottalico filled us in.

He said that during a four game series in Florida to end the season, a hurricane caused two rain-outs.  Curt Schilling went out and bought the entire team paintball guns during one of them and told players to meet him at the stadium.  Bottalico said the team had a paintball fight in the bowels of then Pro Player Stadium from 6 PM to 6 AM.  We're guessing that it took place in 1998- judging by the schedule and years of combined service for Bottalico and Schilling.  The Phillies finished 31 games out of first that year.

One can only imagine the damage done to that place.

And check this out, one Ruben Amaro Jr. made his last ever Major League appearance that weekend.  Paintball incident?
