Man, Philly fans get a bad rap, but how about a little national attention to a bunch of New Yorkers who set off flares last night at PPL Park in Chester.  The fans were there to cheer on the Celtic FC, a team from Scotland.

That's great, mix the European soccer fan mentality with a bunch of New Yorkers and throw them in Chester. It's like putting Susan Finkelstein in a boxing ring with one of Tiger Woods' whores.  Oh wait.

Philly gets the national spot light for young fans running on the field, excessive drinking, and vandalizing cars, while New Yorkers come down and set off road flares in a crowded stadium.  There's a difference between dumb and dangerous.

This is common in Europe and South America, but not here.  Yet, somehow Philly fans always wind as the jerks.

One person got burned, but it could have been much worse.  Watch the video after the jump, and read the rest of the story at NBCPhiladelphia.com.
