Short-Handed Sixer Gut Out Another Embiid-Less Win
By Jim Adair
Published:

Something is happening here. Tonight’s Sixers game was sloppy, they blew a big lead, and came this close to losing (thank you Greg Monroe’s inbound skills). Yet still, they won. Joel Embiid was at home.
Over the last 13 games, the Sixers are 10-3. Over the last two games, the Sixers have assisted on an insane 78.8% of their made field goals. Gerald Henderson came off the bench and led all scorers with 20 tonight, while Dario Saric and Ersan Ilyasova were right behind with 17. Nerlens Noel dropped 16 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for his first double-double of the season. The Sixers hit 46% of their three-point attempts.
We’ll have more on the surging Sixers tomorrow morning, but they’re 4.5 games out of the eight seed and all of a sudden making the playoffs doesn’t sound too crazy.
