As the All-Star reserves were officially announced last night, Charles Barkley told his TNT co-panelists that Joel Embiid deserved to have been an All-Star, which – as usual – precipitated a loud exchange of gas from Shaq’s mouth. After Kenny tried to make a Process joke that Charles wanted no part of, Shaq went in on Embiid’s minutes restriction, asking if his rest is an unfair advantage:

Shaq doesn’t understand the meaning of “rhythm” because he never made a jump shot in his career, but it’s a real thing. Maybe Shaq is just more than a little salty that his Kings (he owns like 2% of the team, but still) blow. Embiid noticed:

Calling Shaq the “Big Goof” and pretending to not know his name is potentially the biggest burn Joel Embiid has ever issued, and this is a guy who said he was going to cook someone’s ass. Later in the show, Barkley tried to give some credit to Sam Hinkie, and *crickets*:

We haven’t seen a whole lot of evidence of Joel Embiid playing angry, but I’d be really concerned about the rims and limbs on the Team USA side of the Rising Stars challenge.
