I Am Thrilled That We’re Hardcore Predators Fans

Gotta say– there are few things I enjoy more right now than Flyers fans being surrogate members of Smashville. This just five years after we collectively laughed at the Preds when Paul Holmgren threw his dick around and offer-sheeted Shea Weber, bucking league custom. We thought the Flyers would pry away the Preds’ overvalued defenseman, but their owner Brett Wilson, who is a delightful follow on Twitter (@WBrettWilson), cucked Homer and matched the offer, despite my best efforts to the contrary. Now, here we are, having not sniffed a playoff series win since Obama’s first term (FUCK ME!), as Predators fans. Peter Laviolette has a lot to do with that, but so, too, does our hate of the Penguins, and indeed, this motherfucker’s:

Love it.

It’s worth noting that this series, now tied at 2-2, is looking very similar to the Flyers-Blackhawks series for Lavs. In both cases his team lost the first two games on the road and won the second two at home, and he will now travel back for a pivotal Game 5. The Flyers’ lackluster effort in Game 5 of that series pinched me more than any other. They had the momentum and laid a big goose egg in Chicago. Rooting for Lavs to not let history repeat itself.

I’m not sure where to put this in this post, so I’ll just write it here: The Flyers fired Peter Laviolette in favor of Craig Berube.
