I’ve been waiting for that headline to come.

Mark Medina of the OC Register (Caaaaaaaaalifornia!) writes about Lonzo Ball’s workout with the Lakers:

Many qualities have made the Lakers impressed with Ball, including his leadership potential, passing and scoring. They are not impressed, however, with his level of conditioning.

Some observers of Ball’s workout last Wednesday thought he came in out of shape. Ball acknowledged that the “drills get you tired, so you got to stay focused.”

Love the recent Lonzo Ball smear campaign. It seems like an odd thing to do considering, if you’re the Lakers, that you might want to trade the pick to a team wanting to move up and take Ball.

Either way, I wouldn’t put too much stock in the Lakers’ apparent disinterest in Mr. Ball. This might be nothing other than them wanting to appear like they’re doing due diligence and not letting LaVar dictate the terms of their franchise, which might very well be the case.
