Your Tuesday Morning Roundup

The Process ran into a buzzsaw on Monday night, the streaking Cavaliers. Winners of seven straight, Cleveland came into Philadelphia and ran that stretch to eight straight wins with a 113-91 win over the Sixers in front of a packed Wells Fargo Center.
LeBron led Cleveland with 30 points as he was basically the entire Cavs offense in the first quarter. Joel Embiid countered with 30 points of his own while Ben Simmons was limited to 10 points and eight rebounds as he left the game early with a sprained ankle. Post-game x-rays came back negative.
Philly struggled from three, shooting just 3-28 from beyond the arc.
Highlights from Embiid’s night:
The lone Sixer to not get in the game? Jahlil Okafor, whose trade situation is ongoing and does not seem to be making any headway. A nugget from Woj today:
Colangelo’s asking price has steadily dropped for Okafor, from two first-round picks to a first and a solid player to where it stands now, a second-round pick, league sources said.
…
So far, Colangelo has rejected discussions on a contract buyout that would allow Okafor to become a free agent. Colangelo is holding out the possibility that Okafor’s $5 million salary could be packaged as part of a bigger deal before the Feb. 9 trade deadline, even if he can’t find a singular move involving Okafor, league sources said.
Several Eagles were in the building and a pair rang the bell:

Here’s what else went down…
The Roundup:
The Flyers are in complete disarray. The team’s losing streak stretched to eight games last night with another loss in overtime, this one a 5-4 loss at the hands of the Penguins.

Not much else to say about this team. I’ll leave that to Anthony SanFilippo. Check out his coverage of this trainwreck today on CB.

With play like that, the Eagles continue to be the talk of the town. Kevin Kinkead has his observations from the game, including this tidbit:
“This is a big fucking deal,” Joe Biden once said. He wasn’t talking about the Eagles, but he might as well have been, because they’re 10-1 and sitting in the driver’s seat for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. With the Saints going down in Los Angeles, the Vikings are now the Birds’ biggest seeding threat. But Minnesota has a difficult schedule looming, with road trips to Atlanta and Carolina in consecutive weeks and a matchup at Lambeau still on the docket.
The Eagles are so dominant right now they are favored in Sunday night’s clash in Seattle, something that hasn’t happened in quite a while.
Everything is just coming up Birds right now, as our BWanksCB points out:
The Eagles have outscored opponents by an NFL-best 160 points this season. They are first in points scored, third in points allowed, and have demolished opponents by an astounding 26.8 points per game dating back to the San Francisco win.
Doug Pederson is keeping it loose in the NovaCare complex as well with that swag and he let loose in his press conference when premature explosion came up.
No matter how much he laughs like a middle schooler at sexual innuendo, he still gives damn good post-game speeches:
“You take whatever circumstance you have that week, and you just put it aside and you go dominate.”#FlyEaglesFly pic.twitter.com/08mQVM2ShW

The media is awful. Kyle has a message for them.
Sunday night cannot come soon enough.

You should get in on this Bitcoin mania.
Tyler Trumbauer is a young Philly sports junkie who didn’t believe in the Process, but now is grateful that Sam Hinkie died for his sins. He’s aptly described as a guy with a little talent, a lot of luck, and great timing.
