The Process ran into a buzzsaw on Monday night, the streaking Cavaliers. Winners of seven straight, Cleveland came into Philadelphia and ran that stretch to eight straight wins with a 113-91 win over the Sixers in front of a packed Wells Fargo Center.

LeBron led Cleveland with 30 points as he was basically the entire Cavs offense in the first quarter. Joel Embiid countered with 30 points of his own while Ben Simmons was limited to 10 points and eight rebounds as he left the game early with a sprained ankle. Post-game x-rays came back negative.

Philly struggled from three, shooting just 3-28 from beyond the arc.

The lone Sixer to not get in the game? Jahlil Okafor, whose trade situation is ongoing and does not seem to be making any headway. A nugget from Woj today:

Colangelo’s asking price has steadily dropped for Okafor, from two first-round picks to a first and a solid player to where it stands now, a second-round pick, league sources said.

So far, Colangelo has rejected discussions on a contract buyout that would allow Okafor to become a free agent. Colangelo is holding out the possibility that Okafor’s $5 million salary could be packaged as part of a bigger deal before the Feb. 9 trade deadline, even if he can’t find a singular move involving Okafor, league sources said.

With play like that, the Eagles continue to be the talk of the town. Kevin Kinkead has his observations from the game, including this tidbit:

The Eagles are so dominant right now they are favored in Sunday night’s clash in Seattle, something that hasn’t happened in quite a while.

The Eagles have outscored opponents by an NFL-best 160 points this season. They are first in points scored, third in points allowed, and have demolished opponents by an astounding 26.8 points per game dating back to the San Francisco win.
