Awesome NY Times Graphic is Kind of Sad for Non-Multimillionaires

Thankfully the Phillies aren’t on top of this NY Times list of per day expenditures by MLB teams for players on the DL. But still, it’s impressive to see that when a player like Roy Halladay (turns 36 today, undergoes surgery tomorrow) goes on the DL, the Phillies pay him close to $5,000… per hour. The Yankees top the list, they are currently paying injured starts $23,041 per hour… $241,337 today… wait, no, $241,392. It’s a real-time list.
Awesome use of the inter pipes by the NY Times.
