Philly.com updated their story about Jay Harris – Jay DatBull to some – who was first reported to have turned down his scholarship to play football at Michigan State in favor of a rap career. Now, it seems, it was the lyrics in DatBull’s YouTube videos that cost him his scholarship, as indicated in this story that was changed without any indication of an update: [Philly.com]
Jay Harris, one of the area’s top football recruits, was stripped of his scholarship by Michigan State earlier this month after he posted a series of profanity-laced rap videos on YouTube, a source said Tuesday.
I’m sure there are a number of things that an institution of higher learning would find offensive about DatBull’s rhymes, not the least of which is this line: I find a bad bitch, I fuck her, then I make her give me head. Words to live by, for sure. And a tough break for DatBull, who was just spittin’ a little bit of the urban romance that was headed to the dorms at Michigan State. Can’t find anything wrong with that. Lots of bummed out bad bitches today… no one to which to give head.
