Screen Shot 2013-07-03 at 9.47.26 AMHere’s how I imagine Sergei Bobrovsky feeling about Philly: People Philly are greats. They make my name a chant, from movie “Bob What About.” They organization fly me to Canada for rendezvous with wife intend Olga who is not permit in USA. And they do me favor to ship me out behind another Russian, who make too much cash. I win trophy. Thank you, Flyers, for doing me unnecessary favor.

Instead, Sergei Bobrovsky had this to say about Philly when asked about Ilya Bryzgalov during his press conference this morning to announce his two-year deal with Columbus:

“Philly is a severe city for the goalies. Bryz was under pressure and I fully understand him. Medias’ and fans’ opinions weigh too much in Philly. Sometimes those are contradictory.”

Yes, sometimes those are contradictory. But Bob was treated quite well here, by both fans and media. Though he usually relied on his English struggles to avoid the likes of sexy Rob Parent and Randy Miller.

Anyway, he’s a Vezina winner, and perhaps more impressively, he understands Bryz.
