Report: Eagles Getting Two Compensatory Draft Picks in 2019

I thought it was going to be three picks, but Schefty is reporting two for the Birds:
And in other news…

The Eagles lost Trey Burton, Beau Allen, and Patrick Robinson to free agency, so the projection was that those three guys would return a fourth and two sixth-rounders. In the most basic terms, you receive comp picks if you lose more free agents than you gain.
That fourth rounder is via Burton and the sixth rounder comes from either Allen or Robinson. I’m not sure, specifically.
But as it stands, assuming this is true, the Eagles will have the following selections in the coming draft:
- 1st round – natural
- 2nd round – natural
- 2nd round – via Ravens (they traded up for Lamar Jackson last year)
- 4th round – natural
- 4th round – compensatory (Trey Burton)
- 5th round – natural
- 6th round – natural
- 6th round – compensatory (Patrick Robinson/Beau Allen)
Time’s yours.
