Eagles Roster Moves

Friday afternoon news dump.
As expected, the Eagles are moving on from 32-year-old special teams ace Chris Maragos.
They released Maragos today with this message via social media:
— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) February 22, 2019
Maragos injured his knee in week six of last season and did not play in the Super Bowl. He joined the Birds from Seattle back in 2014 and his most famous play in Philadelphia has to be the blocked punt in the 35-28 win against New England back in 2015.
In other moves, the Eagles extended long snapper Rick Lovato and kicker Jake Elliott on one-year deals. Elliott finished 26-31 (84%) in both seasons with the Eagles, highlighted by game winners against New York (2017) and Houston (2018). Lovato has been nothing but steady in the two full seasons he’s played since taking over for Jon Dorenbos.
No surprises here. All three moves were predicted.
Happy weekend.
