Sixers shootaround taking place up in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, aka The Great White North.

Joel Embiid:

So if you’re keeping track, game two was the stomach issue. Game four was the virus. Now game five is “upper respiratory infection.”

Either way, he’s playing, of course, and we’ll see how effective he is out there. Joel was 2-7 shooting in the last game but +17 as a product of some solid defensive work and Brett Brown’s subbing patterns.

EDIT:

Okay, I’ve got people messaging me saying that the game four and game five issues are actually the same thing. For reference, here’s what Brett Brown said after game four:

It’s a virus and all during pregame film you can hear him sneezing and sneezing and sneezing and you try to ignore it and just coach through it and show the players the pregame tape but I’d be lying if I were to tell you it wasn’t completely on my mind as I’m talking to the team showing them tape, listening and seeing him.”

Is it a virus? Is it upper respiratory infection? Is it the same fucking thing?

I guess it doesn’t matter if Joel goes out and puts up 30 and 10, and if he doesn’t, guess what we’re writing about on Wednesday!
