Wow, what a game that was!

So many classic plays, so much tension, so much drama! Pure electricity from start to finish. I don’t think I’ve fully come down yet after watching all 16 of those points light up the scoreboard.

Ha.

In all seriousness, while I never want to see a Super Bowl as lame as that ever again, I did crush both the Patriots and the under, so that was a great treat for me.

Anyway, as for next season, the Patriots will probably get back to the Super Bowl again somehow. The AFC East has smelled like hot garbage truck juice for 20 years and Andy Reid will almost certainly do something stupid in the inevitable AFC Championship Game rematch. The question is which team will be waiting on the other side for the Patriots and what will then be 42-year-old cyborg robot Tom Brady? Let’s check in with FanDuel Sportsbook:

FanDuel currently gives only the Saints and Rams better odds than the Eagles (and Packers) out of the NFC to reach Super Bowl 54. I would be concerned about those teams, but Sean Payton continues to be one of the most grossly overrated coaches of all-time. I’m sure everybody will kiss his ass in October when the Saints drop 39 on a carpet against the Bucs, but they’re cooked.

Meanwhile, Sean McVay, well, Sean McVay has Jared Goff under center. You will read a lot in the coming days about how the Rams are poised to bounce back—they always say that about the Super Bowl loser—but the stocks of both McVay and Goff just took a hit. I know this is going to sound like a hot take, but let’s be honest here—tonight was the end of Goff’s legitimacy as a pro quarterback. Guy sucks.

Meanwhile, the Eagles are +1600 to win Super Bowl 54 at DraftKings Sportsbook, giving them the seventh-best odds overall and the third-best out of the NFC:

That’s decent value. I think I’m in on a Carson Wentz/Nate Sudfeld vs. Brady Super Bowl. Let’s run it back.
