Eagles DB Coach Reportedly Leaving for Lions

Cory Undlin is the new Detroit defensive coordinator, according to Field Yates:
The Lions are hiring Eagles defensive backs coach Cory Undlin as their new defensive coordinator, per league source.
Undlin and Lions head coach Matt Patricia both began their NFL careers together as coaching assistants with the Patriots in 2004.

The 48 year old Undlin has been with the Birds since 2015, when he left the same job in Denver to come east. Prior to that gig, he held various defensive and quality control roles for the Jaguars, Browns, and Patriots, as Yates mentions.
Undlin was one of the more experienced guys on Doug Pederson’s staff. A quick check of the Birds’ coaching page shows that only Jim Schwartz and Ken Flajole have more than Undlin’s 16 years on their resume. As such, he would have been a candidate to replace Schwartz as DC, had Schwartz landed the Browns job, but that went to Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski, a St. Joe’s Prep alumnus who is the son of former Sixers GM Ed Stefanki.
With Undlin’s reported departure, the Birds head into this offseason having to find a new DB coach, WR coach, and offensive coordinator.
"I was a visor guy for like 10 years and then you rolled in here. You kind of bumped me off the visor game."
