When rumors and speculation become truth:

That’s a great haul for an injured WWE star who was never going to play for you again. You know that the Patriots are now going to use that fourth round pick on a player who turns out to be a stud and goes on to have a 10-year NFL career.

Agent Drew Rosenhaus says Gronk will “honor his current contract,” (via Schefter) which is means a one-year, $10 million cap hit for Tampa before he becomes a free agent.

Tom Brady will now be throwing to the following targets in 2020:

  • Gronk
  • Mike Evans
  • Chris Godwin
  • O.J. Howard
  • Cameron Brate (unless they trade one of their tight ends)
  • Ronald Jones out of the backfield

That’s… a ridiculous crop of pass catchers.
