Makes sense.

Barwin won’t be a starter, but he’ll get snaps behind Olivier Vernon and Kareem Martin. Rookie Lorenzo Carter is also in the mix as the G-Men convert to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator James Bettcher and first-year head coach Pat Shurmur.

The 31 year old had a good run with the Eagles, highlighted by a 2014 Pro Bowl season in which he logged 14.5 sacks and 64 combined tackles. He was very easy to like as a guy who rode his bike and took SEPTA around town and did a variety of charity events. It would be a shame to see him wearing Giants colors, but we’ll just have to get over it.

Time’s yours.
