The Worst Carson Wentz Takes
By Bob Wankel
Published:

Carson Wentz had plenty of detractors leading up to the 2016 NFL Draft. Fans, analysts and self-proclaimed Twitter draft experts all weighed in on the “overrated” Wentz. Hell, even certain NFL front offices were out on Wentz. Cleveland ROCKS!
Despite a promising rookie season in which he threw footballs to guys who could not catch them, many of those detractors remained. Wentz, though, has taken his game to an entirely different level. The Eagles sit atop the NFC through seven games. He’s thrown 1,852 yards and 17 touchdowns—one more than he had all of a year ago. Oh, yeah. He’s ALSO doing crazy things like this:

So what of those detractors? Well, it’s time for them to eat shit, so 94WIP and BGN Radio host John Barchard, who, admittedly, was also wrong on about the quarterback, made sure they got theirs yesterday by starting the #Wentzadgeddon Twitter movement that dug up the egregious Wentz takes.
Here are the best of the best:

On what planet was Wentz not one of the worst QBs in the NFL in 2016? https://t.co/vQ0b7Xc7D9

On if Carson Wentz will come back to haunt the Browns, Cian Fahey laughs. "I can't imagine that he will. He can't throw the ball downfield."

Just want to add to this particular one. Cian Fahey is the worst. He blocks anybody who calls him out or even challenges his opinions. Also, I think Carson Wentz threw a touchdown that traveled 62.8 yards IN THE AIR the other night. What a dipshit. Anyway, moving on:
Wentz is an athletic game manager. That's exactly what he was last year. I don't know if he becomes more than that. My instincts say no.

I should just pin this tweet.
Tom Brady – not the GOAT
Derek Carr – not great
Carson Wentz – not good https://t.co/E8coPQptnH— Scott Kacsmar (@ScottKacsmar) June 30, 2017
And, finally, some words of wisdom for those remaining few clinging to the hope that their shitty Wentz takes will someday eventually prove true.:
