33 year old Pablo Sandoval is reportedly headed back to the Giants, but the Phillies had interest in the free agent infielder, according to Jon Heyman:

“Panda” would have been a bench option to give the Phils more depth and falls in line with the bargain shopping the team has been doing recently. This club doesn’t have the prospects necessary to jump into the Kris Bryant or Nolan Arenado sweepstakes, so we’re shopping for reduced produce at the Port Richmond IGA instead.
