It’s a great day to be an American.

We’ve come far enough in the fight against COVID-19 that y’all don’t have to wear masks anymore as long as you’re vaccinated, for the most part:

Yeah baby let’s fuckin goooooooooooo.

First non-mask stop? Smitty’s Clam Bar in Somer’s Point. I’m buying beers for everybody. And I’ll go ahead and take a bowl of the New England Clam Chowder and some baked scallops.

More from CBS News:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is updating its guidance to say that fully vaccinated people can forgo their masks and social distancing in many indoor situations, according to people familiar with the announcement. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky announced the new guidance during a White House COVID-19 briefing.

“Today, CDC is updating our guidance for fully vaccinated people,” Walensky said. “Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities, large our small, without wearing a mask or fully vaccinated. If you are fully vaccinated, you can start doing the things you have stopped doing because of the pandemic. We have all longed for this moment, when we can get back to some sense of normalcy.”

I think the next question here involves kids. Up until now, it’s been adults and teenagers getting the vaccination, with the Pfizer vax being approved for kids 12 and up. But if you have a kiddo in that age 2-11 range, what’s the guidance there? We’ll find out soon, hopefully.

All I know is that we’re gonna have full stadiums in June. No masks. Get ready to boo the ever-living shit out of the Yankees when they come to town.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
