There’s something about a Philly player promoting a product or service that I’m a sucker for. Joel Embiid’s “Hulu has live sports” campaign led me to take a look at ditching YouTube TV, which I did. Now Ben Simmons is starring in a promo for the movie The Secret Life of Pets 2.

Let the dulcet tones of the soprano and mezzo-soprano wash over you with their rendition of “The Flower Duet” from Léo Delibes’ opera Lakmé. The life of his pet Bane must be pretty sweet. A bubble bath with a rubber ducky? A matching red velvet robe? Story time before bed? It’s clear that this Bane leads a much more enjoyable existence than the one from The Dark Knight Rises.
