Jimmy Butler is Seeing a Specialist for His Wrist Injury

Sixers news coming in HOT on a Friday afternoon.
- Jimmy Butler will see a specialist in Los Angeles regarding his injured wrist.
- Joel Embiid will miss tomorrow’s game in Denver as he gets a needed rest
- Wilson Chandler is also out with “left hamstring tightness.”
They are down three starters, which means the lineup against 2nd place Denver looks something like this:
- Ben Simmons
- JJ Redick
- Corey Brewer
- Jonah Bolden
- Mike Muscala
Something like that. Amir Johnson time? Who knows.
Anyway Brett Brown spoke to the media before leaving for Colorado.
Butler:
“Jimmy and the organization decided to go to California. We’ll meet him in Denver and it’s really far more precautionary than it is stuff that people are sort of overly worried about.”
From Shams:
Butler will be with the 76ers in Denver and is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Nuggets, league sources said. Both sides are optimistic he will play during 76ers' four-game road trip. https://t.co/dCLyKFCK0B

Embiid:
“When we look at the schedule, there are periods of the schedule where we could anticipate with loading issues, possible candidates to rest somebody… it’s really just a planned rest, it’s not entirely a reaction to some of the things he’s going through. It’s a collaborative thing.”
Markelle Fultz:
He will travel with the team and do physical therapy on the road.
