Keith Pompey on Joel Embiid’s MRI from Monday:
As of Wednesday morning, the team had not announced the results of the scan. The Sixers are expected to give a medical update as early as Wednesday evening. The team said they need the extra time to seek further insight on his knee. They want members of their medical team to be in agreement with what they see in the MRI results.
Wanting your medical team to be in agreement with an MRI is common sense, I guess. That process – little p – taking two days may signify some bad news we don’t wanna hear. Kyle wanted me to note his prediction for a “Joel Embiid needs another surgery” announcement was today at 4 p.m.:

The Sixers play the Heat in Miami tonight, with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off. If they do have bad news to announce, Kyle would probably be right on the money, saving himself from giving any one of you a t-shirt. Bad Embiid news and Kyle being right? That’s a lose-lose.
