Brian Taff Replacing Jim Gardner at 6 p.m. on Action News

The big story on the Action News website:
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — 6ABC/WPVI-TV Philadelphia President and General Manager Bernie Prazenica and Vice President of News Tom Davis have named Brian Taff as the next anchor for the 6 p.m. newscast. Taff will succeed lauded news anchor Jim Gardner when he retires later this month. Gardner’s final newscast is scheduled for Dec. 21.
Taff has been with channel 6 for 13 years. He’s doing the noon and 4 p.m. right now, but will vacate the noon to do the four and six. Rick Williams has been doing the 11 p.m. ever since Gardner cut back his hours at the beginning of the year.
So if you had Taff or Williams moneyline here, the Crossing Broad Sportsbook is going to honor BOTH bets and pay out all of our customers. Bang bang! –
Jim Gardner’s last 11pm newscast is tonight. Who do you think is his successor at 6abc?
