Pennsylvania Online Casinos Top $291 Million In August Revenue

Pennsylvania Online Casino Revenue August 2025

For the third time in state history, Pennsylvania online casinos surpassed $290 million in monthly revenue.

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported that iGaming in the state recorded $291.5 million in August, the third-highest total in its history.

August’s total was a 4.9% increase from July’s $277.9 million. It was also a 29.6% jump from August of 2024, which recorded $225.0 million in revenue.

Breaking Down Pennsylvania Online Casino August 2025 Revenue

Pennsylvania releases its monthly data and highlights adjusted gaming revenue. That total removes promotional dollars from the gross gaming revenue total. The adjusted revenue from the state was $231.2 million.

PGCB also lists the revenue by licensee. Online casinos launched in the Keystone State in 2019, with 10 different retail casinos being granted licenses to operate iGaming. Two other operators (Bally, Golden Nugget) earned untethered licenses. Some of the licensees operate multiple online casino brands in the state. However, their revenue is reported collectively.

August Revenue Just Shy of Second-Highest Mark

The full total of $291,494,554 in August revenue was just a mere $225,703 shy of topping May’s mark of $291,720,257.

March 2025 still holds the top spot in Pennsylvania history. That month recorded $294,198,489 in revenue, which is $2.7 million greater than August’s mark.

Some other notable data points from August include:

  • A total of $68.2 million in state taxes were collected from online casinos last month. An additional $36.9 million in local taxes and county grants were collected. Altogether, that’s $105.1 million going back to the state.
  • Penn National maintained its strong hold on the top spot in Pennsylvania with $106.1 million in revenue. That licensee features DraftKings Casino, BetMGM Casino, Fanatics Casino, and Hollywood Casino.
  • Slots produced $239.6 million of the total revenue for August. Table games came in with $49.4 million, while poker brought in $2.5 million in revenue.
