Saw this yesterday and meant to get it up here.

Kewan Platt of Fitchburg State, which is in Massachusetts, was caught on tape throwing what may be the cheapest elbow I’ve ever witnessed:

Guy even takes a glance at the baseline referee to make sure he’s not looking.

The player who took the elbow is Nate Tenaglia, and he’s apparently fine and was even able to return to the game.

Fitchburg State suspended Platt and barred him from campus.

TMZ shared a statement from him:

“What I did is totally unacceptable and not justified in any way. I got frustrated and lost control over my behavior. I know these words cannot undo my wrongdoings. In the future I promise to make better choices.

“I’m not only apologizing to Nate Tenaglia but also to my teammates, the coaching staff, the University and the whole basketball community.”

The university released a statement condemning the behavior as “antithetical to our community values and good sportsmanship.”
