Eagles fan Aaron Boone checking in:

Cheeky Boone: “It’s the only time I wanted to vomit hearing that. In that context, I hated it. So fortunately when it was going up Sunday we were in the process of winning the game, so that helped a little bit. But it’s the only time I do not like that.”

Boone grew up in the Philly suburbs while his dad was playing for the Phillies in the 1970s and early 1980s. That’s where the Eagles fandom comes from. Pretty gross that an Eagles fan would ever accept the Yankees job, but sometimes you have to take what’s available to you. And it’s not like the locals up there are gonna be doing a Giants or Jets chant anytime soon, so E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles is what you’re gonna get at Yankee Stadium, and you’re gonna like it.

Or, if it’s mayor Cherelle Parker in the Bronx, it’s gonna be E-L-G-S-E-S Eagles!
