Adam Schefter Believes Jalen Ramsey Will Not Be Traded This Year

As it stands, Rasul Douglas, Orlando Scandrick, and Craig James are the healthy cornerbacks heading into Sunday’s Eagles/Jets game.
With Ronald Darby, Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones, Avonte Maddox, and Cre’Von LeBlanc on the shelf, the Birds have more injured defensive backs than healthy ones, which means now is the time to #DoTheDeal and trade for Jalen Ramsey, right?
Not so fast my friends, according to Lee Corso Adam Schefter, who made his weekly appearance on the 97.5 the Fanatic morning show and said this:
"If I had to look into my crystal ball & make a prediction, my read would be that he's not traded this year. That's not to say it couldn't change by next week but right now, this week, I believe Jacksonville is dug in" – @AdamSchefter on Jalen Ramsey #flyeaglesfly

This comes a day after Chris Mortensen reported that the Eagles were “highly, highly interested” in the Jaguars cornerback, who did not play in the week four win at Denver. Mortensen also named the Ravens, Chiefs, and Chargers as teams in the mix for Ramsey’s services.
97.5 doesn’t have the full podcast up yet, but I’ll go back and listen when they post it and pull that Schefter quote and see if there’s more context to it.
