Alex Henery and Ilya Bryzgalov Were Both Cut Today

Watch as Henery fails to show even the slightest disgust in himself for costing the Lions the game. You miss a game-tying field goal and you fix your sock? Your sock! You, sir, are a sad sack.
Alex Henery, who missed three field goals – from 44, 47, and his kryptonite distance of 50 yards – in a dome yesterday, was cut by the Lions today. That should end his career.
In other news, Ilya Bryzgalov has been released from his tryout with the Wild, making it the second time he’s parted ways with them this year (he was traded to the Wild in the spring and became an unrestricted free agent this summer). There’s still a chance he could return to be their AHL-saftey-valve goaltender… and then get cut again.
