All of the Line Movements from the Micah Parsons Green Bay Trade

Our friends at BetMGM sent over some line movements following the trade of Micah Parsons to the Packers:
Packers:
- Super Bowl: +2200 to +1300 – since the trade, 25% of bets (most) have been on Packers to win Super Bowl, 11% of money (2nd most)
- NFC: +1100 to +650
- NFC North: +260 to +170 (favorite)
- Win total: 9.5 to 10.5 (under -130)
Cowboys:
- Super Bowl: +5000 to +6000
- NFC: +2000 to +3000
- NFC East: +675 (no movement)
- Win total: 7.5 to 6.5 (over -150)
Eagles vs. Cowboys (week 1) –
- Eagles move from -7 to -7.5
- 80% of money is on Eagles to cover
This line opened at seven points and had been sitting there ever since. Now Parsons’ departure is good for a half-point in the Eagles’ favor, removing the opportunity for a single-touchdown push. Alternately, if you want to go Negadelphia and be a hater, grab a DraftKings promo code or betParx promo code and look at the Dallas numbers on there. There’s one prop at BetMGM that I love as of right now and will reveal it next week.
It was hard to measure Parsons’ effectiveness against the Eagles in 2024, since Dak Prescott missed both games and they turned into blowout laughers. He did have two sacks and a forced fumble in the first matchup, which was the “sun glare” game down in Jerry World. The second game was a big nothing burger, with two tackles and nothing else. He was a terror in the 2023 game at Lincoln Financial Field, logging nine tackles and 1.5 sacks despite the Birds pulling off a 28-23 win. Same thing in 2022, with seven tackles and 1.5 sacks at the Linc as well. Parsons always seemed to have one good game against the Eagles and one relatively quiet game.
Kenny Clark, who goes to Dallas in the trade, had seven tackles and a stuff in two games vs. the Birds last year. If you think about the tush push, Clark joining that Dallas interior is probably more meaningful than having Parsons crowdsurfing over the pile in an effort to stop it. The Eagles do play the Packers in November this year, so they’ll see Parsons once instead of twice, though he remains in the NFC, which is slightly annoying.
