Eagles rookie safety Andrew Mukuba suffered an ankle fracture that will require surgery, per sources.

Not great.

The NFL Insiders (RapSheet, Garafolo) are reporting that “It will be determined during surgery whether or not there is potential for him to return this season.”

Lost in all the hubbub of a pitiful choke job was the second half departure of Reed Blankenship and Adoree’ Jackson, then Mukuba suffered the injury late. As a result, Kelee Ringo, Michael Carter II, and Sydney Brown came in to play 55 combined snaps while Cooper DeJean moved outside. That wasn’t ideal either, though most guys probably aren’t gonna look great against the version of George Pickens we saw on Sunday.

FYI Chauncey Gardner-Johnson is not available because the Bears picked him up after Baltimore released him back in October.
