Baker Mayfield Clarifies Daniel Jones Comments, But Not Before Getting Ripped by Colin Cowherd

Weird story taking another weird turn here.

Earlier we wrote about the GQ interview in which Baker Mayfield seemed to criticize the Giants’ selection of Duke quarterback Daniel Jones, saying, quote, “I cannot believe the Giants took Daniel Jones.”

Apparently it was a big misunderstanding, according to Mayfield, who clarified the comments on Instagram:

Okay then.

Jones didn’t have anything at all to say about the story:

Daniel Jones on Baker Mayfield: “I think he’s a great player. He can throw it and I enjoy watching him play.”

So apparently there’s no problem at all here on either side, but Colin Cowherd, who can’t stand Mayfield, ripped him a new one before Mayfield’s response to the “click bait.”
