Brandon Brooks Gets a Four-Year Contract Extension

The Eagles announced this afternoon that Pro Bowl guard Brandon Brooks is the recipient of a four-year contract extension.
Jeff McLane at the Inquirer is reporting that it’s a big, beefy deal:
Brooks 4-year contract is worth $54.2M with $30M guaranteed, NFL source said. He’s now the NFL’s highest-paid guard. https://t.co/Fx69WUEYxG

Brooks turned 30 in August so this should take him to end of his career, unless he becomes Jason Peters and plays until age 47.
But seriously, it’s a great sports story. Brooks struggled with anxiety issues during his first Eagles year, then pancaked his way to a Super Bowl ring and Pro Bowl nods in 2017 and 2018. He tore his Achilles last year in the playoff game, then found his way back to the field after just eight months of rehab. He’s really come a long way, and right now he’s probably playing better than anybody else on the Birds’ offensive line.
Well deserved contract extension for Brandon Brooks.
