“Carlos” the Dead Cockroach Could be the Unofficial 2022 Eagles Good Luck Charm

Jamie Lynch at the Fanatic has been sharing photos of a dead cockroach in the stairwell at Beasley’s office building in Bala. He’s been dead for more than two months now, but no one has moved him, which resulted in what is now a three-part series of tweets:

This poor cockroach. You always hate to lose a Cowboys fan. Heyo! Bada bing, bada boom!

But anyway, Carlos has been laying there dead for so long that we should probably just leave him there at this point. The Eagles technically are undefeated in regular season games when the dead cockroach remains in the stairwell. It could be a thing where Carlos has to remain on the steps until the Eagles lose, because he’s got the potential to become this talismanic figure, kind of like the rally squirrel out in St. Louis. If Beasley is shrewd, they’ll take this dead cockroach thing and milk it for all its worth. Give us a Carlos update daily and/or kind of rope off that part of the stairwell so that his resting place is undisturbed. It could be the next big weirdo story in Philadelphia, right up there with Hitchbot being dismembered and Pukemon (RIP) ralphing on the cop.

As long as the Eagles win, Carlos remains on the steps. When they lose their first game, we bury the cockroach:
