Carson Wentz Played With a Torn Labrum Against Eagles

You can call Carson Wentz a lot of things over his career. A bad quarterback, a bad teammate, zit neck, a guy who doesn’t know when to get rid of the ball, all of it. What you can’t call him is weak. The guy played with a torn labrum over three games while JJ McCarthy nursed an ankle injury:
So Carson Wentz was actually more hurt than McCarthy and Kevin O’Connell just continued to trot him out there? Dirty, dirty business. That’s nuts. He was taking a beating and the Vikings weren’t even in the game for most of the second half. Why would KOC send him out there when they have a healthy third string QB? It doesn’t make any sense.
Now listen, I’m still not taking back anything I said about Wentz during the Eagles game. That was still a truly hilarious performance:
But I am on record saying I was starting to feel bad for him, so shout out to me for showing some empathy when we didn’t know how serious the injury was, unlike Kirk Herbstreit:
This feels like the last game Carson Wentz ever plays unless there’s like some NFL pension parameters needed to be met to get some good bennies during retirement. This was the face of a broken man. I’ve never seen a guy wish more for a rapture at this moment:
Rest now brother, we have the watch. And I’ll see you in Valhalla.
