NFC East news:

The Commies are clinging to the 7th and final playoff spot in the NFC. They’ve got the Browns and Cowboys at home to wrap up the season, with Seattle, Detroit, and Green Bay all sitting at 7-8. On one hand, it seems goofy to bench Taylor Heinicke, considering the fact that he took them from 2-4 to 7-7-1. On the other hand, the Comms are 0-2-1 in their last three and Heinicke is Heinicke – a ceiling-level serviceable QB who is never going to be the future of that franchise. They aren’t winning the Super Bowl this year, so if you want to give Carson one final shot here, it makes sense. (Still, it does feel like a bit of a raw deal for Heinicke after three straight games against teams above them in the standings).

One quick note – I am politely asking that people stop saying “move on” or “let it go” in response to Carson Wentz posts. He plays for a division rival and was a huge topic here in Philadelphia. People read these stories, so if you’re mad, blame your fellow fans for clicking. We have made an editorial decision to not move on from Carson Wentz or Ben Simmons posts. Thank you for understanding. We appreciate your Crossing Broad patronage. Good morning.

EDIT – Wentz, Hurts, and Foles are all Week 17 starting QBs for their respective teams. QUARTERBACK FACTORY!
