CJGJ went on Ryan Clark’s The Pivot podcast:

“I retract (the comments), and I won’t even say it because I played with those guys. And I know how they would feel, like ‘Chauncey you trippin’.’ It’s a disrespect to Jalen Carter, A.J. Brown, I can name all those guys on that team. Lane Johnson. Respectfully, because Lane is my big vet, and he would tell me, ‘hey Chaunce, I got your back, but when you’re doing too much, I don’t got your back.’ And that’s one of those moments of doing too much. It’s taking away from his career. He did it before me. I think apologizing to the guys in the Philly, I got nothing against them. If they win six more rings without me, they deserve it, cause that’s the type of players they are…”

It’s all good. Hard to imagine any Eagles fan is bothered by any of this. CJ is not, uh, “always there” mentally, and tracking his public comments can induce whiplash, but what really matters is that he busted his ass for this team in two seasons that ended in Super Bowl appearances, one culminating in the greatest performance in franchise history. The Eagles went belt-to-ass on the Chiefs and CJ was excellent all year long. This dude is a champion and there are no hard feelings. It probably sucks to get traded twice by the same team.
