Connor Barwin Has Reached a New Level of Hipster

Other than being a 6’4″, 265 lbs professional football player, Connor Barwin hits all the hipster hallmarks. The hair? Yep. The bike? Uh huh. The whole “caring about your community thing”? Definitely. And now, he’s starring in a commercial for local artist Kurt Vile’s NYE show at the Fillmore. It’s painfully, hilariously awkward:
I don’t think acting is on Barwin’s post-football horizon, but I think he’ll be fine since he’s basically Captain Planet with worse hair.
When he's not writing about sports here or ranting about them on Twitter, Jim is probably watching X-Files on Netflix or drinking a beer somewhere. Jim has nothing against hockey, it's just not his style. He once met Duce Staley at a Sixers game.
