It’s actually a great football story. Smith tore his ACL and MCL in college, forwent his senior season, and then sat out his rookie NFL year. He’s played 32 games since, logging 202 tackles, five sacks, and a pair of forced fumbles while earning a Pro Bowl nod.
No contract numbers out there yet, but we’ll see how this affects negotiations with the three big offensive players I listed above. Interesting contractual stuff going on in Dallas this summer.
