Buffalo’s Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition after collapsing on the field Monday night, but the Bills tweeted Wednesday that he’s showing improvement:

As we wait for the next update, you’ve probably heard about the GoFundMe for a toy drive in Hamlin’s hometown of McKee’s Rocks, outside of Pittsburgh. Fans and media caught wind of the fundraiser, which began with a $2,500 goal and is now pushing seven million dollars as money continues to pour in:

That’s not a glitch or typo or whatever there. Jim Irsay chipped in $25k. He’s the top donor now, but it’s pretty gnarly to go down the list and see everybody who is getting involved. A brief scan shows me Bob Kraft, Tom Brady, Matt Stafford, Chris Jericho, Ryan Leaf, and a shit ton of other contributors.

This is has been, by far, the best sidebar story to spin off what’s been a really rough 48 hours. If anything, it shows how generous people really are, jumping in to contribute when there’s not much else they can do in the meantime. Nice job by everyone kicking in. Here’s the link if you want to check out the fundraiser:
